Matola-Gare – A group of 25 entrepreneurs in Matola-Gare have been given a significant opportunity to help develop their business skills and position their enterprises for growth through the support of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Mozambique.
The aspiring traders were each provided with business starter kits, inclusive of an ice box and supplies of beverages, after graduating from a training programme provided by AIESEC, an international youth-run and led, not-for-profit organisation. The two full days of training, supported by CCBA, covered sales, planning and budgeting, and business modelling.
This group is the final cohort of a total of 65 young entrepreneurs who participated in the programme, following graduation events held in Nampula and Chimoio.
“We act in ways that aim to help improve people’s lives – whether for our employees, those connected to our business, or the communities we call home,” said general manager of CCBA in Mozambique, Duncan Wyness.
“People are at the centre of everything we do. Community involvement allows us to bring positive, measurable change to both the communities in which we operate and to our business. Each one of us can make a big difference for a better shared future,” Wyness said.
“We are committed to helping create shared value for our business and the communities we serve,” Wyness concluded.
