Lusaka – Pupils in primary and secondary community schools will have some of their stationary needs taken care of when Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia (CCBZ) hands over 10,000 exercise books.
The exercise books will help the children with their schoolwork and support the community schools, which play a vital role in augmenting the government school system which is unable to cater for all children of school-going age.
Herbert Nuwamanya, general manager of CCBZ said the donation was in line with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa’s (CCBA)’s desire to make a positive difference in communities across the continent
“At CCBA, we use our industry leadership to be part of the solution to achieve positive change in the world and to build a more sustainable future for our planet.
“Our aim is to create greater shared opportunity for the business and the communities we serve across the value-chain. Opportunity is more than just money, it’s about a better future for people and their communities everywhere on the African continent.
“We believe in doing business the right way by following our values and working toward solutions that benefit us all. Profitability is important, but not at any cost.
“When we grow our business the right way, not just the easy way, we help create inclusive growth opportunities for our communities, women and youth, our customers, our employees and our shareholders, for a better shared future,” said Nuwamanya.
